Chai Contribution

Chai – Life/living, numerical value of 18
Thank you for wanting to contribute to Temple Beth Torah. A Chai Donation can be made in any amount, although many choose to give in increments of $18. The number 18 correlates to the Hebrew word Chai or Life. When giving in multiples of $18, we recognize the blessing which is the gift of our lives. Chai Donations are usually made to celebrate any kind of milestone such as a wedding or birth of a child, a new home, a family or friend’s B-Mitzvah, or to honor those we have lost or in observance of a Yahrzeit. However, we welcome your donation for any reason as your generosity helps us to continue providing Jewish spiritual services to our congregation and the Jewish Community at large. We appreciate your support immensely.
Tree of Life

From birth to B-Mitzvah, birthdays to weddings and anniversaries, and confirmation to graduation, your simcha (life’s blessings and joyous moments) can be celebrated here. The Tree of Life is exactly that, a celebration of life—your life, the little, the big, spiritual, ritual, or not—the people and events that are your lifeblood. These leaves are a permanent visual marker of all that brings you joy.
Yahrzeit Wall

It can be very difficult to say a final goodbye to your loved ones. But you have your memories, which are a blessing after all. Immortalize your loved one and those memories on our Yahrzeit wall. Your loved one will be honored during the English month of their death, with an illumination on the wall next to their personalized plaque. In addition, the Rabbi will remember your loved one at a Shabbat service during the month of their Yahrzeit and during the High Holiday Yizkor service.
Rabbi Kenneth B. Block Living Legacy Fund:
L’Dor V’dor (לדור ודור, From Generation to Generation)

During the 25 years Rabbi Block spent at TBT leading our congregation from the Bimah and celebrating life’s joyous moments and grieving the sad, he left an indelible mark. To honor his 2023 retirement and those 25 years of memories, guidance, and support we shared with him, we have established this legacy fund to help support the temple’s critical needs while ensuring a strong, vital future for TBT and enduring legacy for Rabbi Block. לדור ודור
